Alcaraz is back on the field soon

The number one tennis player in the world, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz is registered for the clay court tournament in Buenos Aires starting on February 13, which could be his first tournament of the new year.

Alcaraz was forced to withdraw from the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season after he injured his right leg in training.

In November, due to another injury, he had to retire in the quarterfinals of the Masters in Paris, ending his season prematurely.

If he confirms his participation, 19-year-old Alcaraz, who became the youngest world number one in history after winning the US Open in September, will play for the first time in his career at the tournament in Buenos Aires.
