Last weekend, the Major tournament in Bologna for table football saw several Maltese players take part.
Charlie Aquilina stood out, reaching the semifinals in the Veterans category. Jason Pisani made it to the last 32, while John Zammit was knocked out in the group stage.
In the Open category, Jean Tabone reached the last 32. George Ebejer reached the playoff stage, and Spencer Conti was eliminated in the group stage.
In the team category, Bormla SC reached the last 16. The team included Charlie Aquilina, George Ebejer, Jason Pisani, Jean Tabone, David Gonzalez, and Bessim Golger.
Meanwhile, John Zammit’s ST Stembert team reached the quarterfinals, and Spencer Conti’s Reggio Calabria team reached the last 16.
Maltese athletes continue to be supported in travelling abroad thanks to SportMalta and the Maltese Olympic Committee.
