Alvaro Morata: Passing on is the most important

Atletico Madrid player and Spain national team member, Alvaro Morata, was defeated by Japan 2:1 last night with his team, but despite that, they went to the knockout phase of the World Cup in second place in the group.

The Japanese triumphed with a score of 2:1 after a turnaround in the second half, and Morata was the only scorer for Luis Enrique’s team.

“It’s football, really incredible. The most important thing is that we are in the second phase, but we have to think carefully and analyze the match,’ said Alvaro Morata.

“At every World Cup I’ve watched, I remember the teams that had to go through some difficult moments. We have to do it too and you have to trust us. Now we are concentrating on the knockout phase and we will try not to let this kind of defeat happen to us again so that we don’t leave Qatar with our heads down,’ the Atletico Madrid striker finished his presentation.

Before the match, many media spoke about the calculations of the “Fury” and the fact that it is much more profitable for them to go from second place to the knockout phase, in order to avoid the selection of Brazil on the eventual way to the final of the World Cup.

Spain will meet Morocco in the round of 16, and that match will be played on Tuesday from 16:00.
