Goalkeeper of the French national team Hugo Lloris compared yesterday’s World Cup final in Qatar to a boxing match.
“We reacted too much in the final. It was almost a boxing match. We got hit after hit. The only thing we can regret is that we completely missed the first half, but we didn’t give up,” said Lloris, who is also the goalkeeper of the national team.
“We have to congratulate the Argentinians who played in a big competition and in the big final,” he said and added that now is not the time to mention the future:
“This evening is painful for all players, staff and fans even though we have achieved great things. There is pain because of defeat”.
