Finland in the final of the Winter Olympics

After the victory over the Slovakian national team, the Finnish national hockey team advanced to the finals of the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Finland defeated Slovakia 2:0 (1:0, 0:0, 1:0).

Sakari Manninen scored the first goal for the Finns, and in the very end, the second goal was scored by Harri Pesonen.

Slovakia attacked but failed to equalize.

This is the third final of the Winter Olympics for the Finland national team, and they were defeated both times (1988 and 2006).

In the second semifinal, Russia and the Swedish team will meet.
