During a meeting of the Malta Motorsport Federation’s administration, led by president Duncan Micallef, on Tuesday, 25 June, it was decided that Malta will be represented in the third edition of the FIA Motorsport Games, which will take place from the 23rd to the 27th of October in Valencia, Spain. This multidisciplinary event unites athletes engaged in motor sports from the world’s four corners in a unique spirit of sporting competition.
Malta will participate in these disciplines: Mini Karting, Junior Karting, Senior Karting, Endurance Karting, Formula 4, Esport GT, and Esport F4.
The federation appointed Mr. Jonathan Tonna, ex-secretary of the Island Car Club, as Team Leader. Together with William England, Vice President of the federation, Tonna will lead the Maltese team in Valencia. Tonna is not new to this assignment, as he has already led Maltese teams in past editions of the FIA Motorsport Games and Hillclimbs Masters.
The Federation thanks the Maltese Olympic Committee and SportMalta for their financial assistance to make this very important adventure possible for our country, drivers, and the clubs they come from.
