QUARTARARO CLOSE TO DEFENDING THE THRONE: Jack Miller celebrated after a year and a half

Australian Jack Miller celebrated in the race for the Japanese Grand Prix at the Motegi circuit in the MotoGP championship.

Miller celebrated his first victory at this famous stage since May 2021. He achieved that on a factory Ducati.

This is the sixth consecutive victory for Ducati – previously four were achieved by Bagnaia and one by Bastianini.

In addition to Jack Miller, Brad Binder and Jorge Martin were on the podium, while Miller’s teammate Francesco Bagnaia did not even finish the race and thereby jeopardized his battle for the championship title.

This means that Fabio Quartararo, who finished the race in eighth place, increased his advantage to 18 points and is close to defending his throne in the MotoGP championship.

The general classification now looks like this: Fabio Quartararo 219, Francesco Bagnaia 201, Aleix Espargaro 194, Enea Bastianini 170, Jack Miller 159…
