Matchday six of the First Division Bocci League saw Żebbuġ suffer their first defeat of the season after five consecutive positive results, narrowly losing to Msida 21-19. It was a tightly contested match that could have gone either way, but ultimately, Msida edged it with greater precision.
In other matches, Buġibba and Żurrieq both cruised to identical 21-7 victories over Birkirkara and Tarxien, respectively. Għaxaq also had a comfortable outing, defeating Żejtun 21-5.
In more balanced encounters, Żabbar came out on top against Thalassalejn with a 21-17 win, while St Peter’s Żabbar secured maximum points with a 21-14 victory over Lija.
