Marlon Attard emerged as the champion of the inaugural MSSF Skeet Competition 50+50+25 with an impressive score of 115/125. The competition, held at the Malta National Shooting Ranges in Siggiewi, marked the start of the Malta Shooting Sport Federation’s (MSSF) 2025 calendar of events.
Attard secured the top spot after a strong performance in the final round, narrowly beating Liam Sciberras, who finished in second place with a score of 111/125. Clive Farrugia claimed third place with a total of 110/125.
Competition format and results
The event featured an elimination-style format where participants competed in a series of stages. At the start, all athletes shot at 50 targets, with the top four advancing to a second round of 50 targets. After 100 targets, the lowest scorer was eliminated, leaving the top three shooters to compete in a final round of 25 targets.

- Matthias Azzopardi – 83/100
In the final round, Attard’s consistency and accuracy sealed his victory.

- Mikaela Galea – 38/50
The MSSF has planned four Skeet events of this type for the year. Each competition will feature a maximum of 125 targets, with potential shoot-offs to decide ties.
The next event on the MSSF calendar is the 1st Skeet Selection Shoot 2025, scheduled for February 1–2 at the Malta National Shooting Ranges.
