The fourth edition of Premio Noma 2026 will be held on Saturday 22 February at 6.30 pm at the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta.
The initiative is organised by the Committee of the LifeStar Malta Marathon in collaboration with Com.It.Es Malta and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Malta. The event recognises individuals from the fields of culture, sport, science, media and entertainment who have contributed to cooperation between Italy and Malta.
Premio Noma was established to honour personalities who have demonstrated professional achievement while promoting dialogue and collaboration between the two countries. The award focuses on strengthening cultural and sporting links as part of wider international engagement.
The 2026 ceremony will feature figures from the international and local sectors. Among those expected to attend are Angelo Zomegnan, former Director of the Giro d Italia and former Deputy Editor of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Herman Grech, Editor in Chief of the Times of Malta, the Mayor of Valletta Olaf McKay, and Mario Bonello, President of the Malta Athletics Federation. Representatives from academic, institutional and sporting organisations will also be present.
During the event, fifteen personalities will be honoured for their professional and personal contribution to relations between Italy and Malta. The awards aim to recognise efforts that support cooperation through sport and culture.
The ceremony will be hosted by Nino Randazzo, Xandru Greach and Federica Bovio.
Premio Noma 2026 forms part of ongoing initiatives that encourage dialogue and partnership between the two countries through shared cultural and sporting activity.
