The penalty shoot-outs denied Qormi Daikin from winning the Euro Hockey Challenge 2 in Gibraltar after they were defeated 4-3 by Hungarian side Soroksari Olcote.
The score at the end of the four quarters was 1-1 in a game which was relatively balanced.
Soroskari went ahead in the second quarter through Andras Hortobagyi but the Yellow/Blacks were determined to equalize the score so much so that in the third quarter Steve Tanti beat the goalkeeper Zsolt Ferenczi.
In the penalty shoot-outs Soroksari scored four while failing to convert one of them with Qormi who scored three of the five shots they made.
Despite everything, Qormi Daikin gave a good show in Gibraltar where they were praised for the games they showed.

The other team in action, Trust Payments Floriana Young Stars were defeated by Ginstrekte of Lithuania 8-1.
Povilas Sinkevicius stood out for the Lithuanian team as he scored seven goals with Mantvydas Pocevicius adding another for his team.
Mark Camilleri scored the only goal for the Greens.
