The Sirens Water Polo Women’s Team have been crowned champions of the BOV Water Polo Women’s Winter League.
The team from St Paul’s Bay have been absolutely dominant in this competition, winning it for 3 years in a row since its inception in 2022.
Sirens and Sliema started their fourth and last direct encounter of the season on 25 points each. Sirens won the first encounter, the teams drawing level on the second and Sliema winning the third game between the two teams with both teams winning all their other games throughout the competition.
Sirens prevailed over Sliema with a score of 8-7 in the last game of the season, played at the Cottonera Sports Complex to win the title.
Ernest Agius, Chief Operations Officer at Bank of Valletta and David Bonello, Vice President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta presented Sirens with their Championship Trophy.
