Rylee Borg and Kimi Bugeja win November Atlas Youth Athletes of the Month Award

Weightlifter Rylee Borg has been named the November winner of the Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award in the Local category. He earned the award after an excellent performance at the National Championships, where he won the Under-20 title and set three national records. This adds to a strong season for Borg, who also finished fourth in the 88kg category at the European Junior Championships in Albania.

In the Foreign category, karting driver Kimi Bugeja was recognised for November after winning the overall title in the GR3 Under-10 category at the Campionato Karting Sicilia.

The awards were presented by Atlas Insurance Chief Commercial Officer Robert Micallef. The Malta Sports Journalists Association was represented by its President Antvin Monseigneur and Chris Francalanza.

The Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award is a joint initiative between the Malta Sports Journalists Association and Atlas Insurance. The judging panel reviews youth sporting achievements each month and invites local associations and federations to submit nominations for athletes under the age of 21 who have stood out. All monthly winners are eligible for the annual award.
