San Ġwann and Żabbar St Patrick did not find it easy at all to beat their respective opponents as another round of matches was played from the Fuel 10K Under 16 Youth Futsal League.
San Ġwann defeated neighbours Naxxar Lions 6-5 in a very exciting game. They were always in the lead although the Lions always stayed behind them.
Leeon Attard scored three goals, with Kayzon Borg helping himself with a brace. On the other hand, Michael Borg Hedley tied the score for San Gwann.
Naxxar stayed in the game thanks to Eric Briffa’s hat-trick and Jake Pace’s double.
Żabbar St Patrick beat Birżebbuġa Windmills 6-4 in the duel between two teams from the south of Malta.
After the Yellow/Blacks were winning 4-1, the Seasouthsiders managed to equalize the score although in the end they had to earn two more goals.
Dejan Sant and Luca Zerafa scored twice for Żabbar with Luca Borg and Joseph Bromidge who continued to increase to their tally.
Luis Rapce, Matthew Calleja, Lucas Maria Forace and Ashinbani Zacharia were on the mark for Birżebbuġa.
