Tarxien Rainbows have confirmed the signing of 31-year-old attacking midfielder Tavinho.
The Portuguese brings strong experience from Portugal’s Liga 2 and Liga 3, as well as a spell in the Indonesian Premier League.
Known for his creativity and vision, he has a proven ability to break down defences and create chances in tight spaces.
Tavinho began his senior career in Portugal, playing for a number of clubs including Moncarapachense, Internacional Almancil, Louletano, Culatrense, Quarteirense, and Almancilense, steadily working his way up the domestic leagues.
His performances earned him a move to Farense, followed by spells with Vizela, Varzim, and Alverca, all respected sides within Portugal’s Liga 2 and Liga 3, where he gained valuable experience in competitive football environments.

In 2023, Tavinho took his first step abroad, joining RANS FC in the Indonesian Premier League, where he continued to showcase his playmaking abilities on an international stage.
He returned to Portugal with Moncarapachense in 2024 before completing his latest move to Tarxien Rainbows for the 2025/26 season.
