From the 360Sports Malta Premier Closing Round – Top Six, Floriana and Ħamrun Spartans played out a 0-0 draw in a tense top-of-the-table clash at the National Stadium on Monday night.
Floriana looked the brighter side early on, creating several chances and forcing top saves from Ħamrun goalkeeper Henry Bonello, especially in the first half. The Greens were left frustrated as they failed to convert their dominance into goals.
Ħamrun improved slightly after the break but didn’t create many clear chances. Their hopes of a late winner were dashed when captain Steve Borg was sent off five minutes from time after picking up a second yellow card.

Despite the result, Marsaxlokk remain top on 25 points, with Sliema just behind on 24, level with Ħamrun but ahead of them because of winning the direct encounter, and Floriana following on 23, keeping the Closing Round wide open.
