Marsaxlokk and Naxxar Lions ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday at the Centenary Stadium.
This result leaves Marsaxlokk 2 points behind Gzira United, who are leading the bottom six, while Naxxar are just 3 points ahead of bottom-placed Zabbar.
The Lions took the lead in the 55th minute when Kayne Haber capitalised on a defensive mistake and scored.
Marsaxlokk equalised later on, with Scottish forward Jai Quitongo scoring from close range to secure a point for Enzo Potenza’s men.
