Birkirkara head coach Stefano De Angelis has confirmed that he will continue to lead the team next season, following a campaign that saw the club finish as runners-up in both the 360 Malta Premier League and the Meridianbet FA Trophy.
In exclusive comments made to MaltaSport after receiving the Coach of the Season award at the MFCA ceremony, De Angelis expressed satisfaction with the recognition of his work over the past year. While the club narrowly missed out on silverware, his leadership and the team’s consistent performances earned him the prestigious accolade.
Looking ahead, De Angelis has already shifted his focus towards preparing for the upcoming UEFA Conference League qualifiers. He stated that the immediate priority will be to reflect on the previous season, regroup the squad, and begin early preparations to strengthen their challenge for domestic and European success.
Birkirkara’s ambitions remain high. The club’s clear target is to go one step further in the coming campaign and challenge more forcefully for the Premier League title. With De Angelis staying at the helm, the club will look to build on its solid foundation and aim for tangible rewards in the upcoming season.
