Birkirkara FC has officially announced the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Martínez.
The 30-year-old joins the club with plenty of experience, having played in several countries throughout his career. A product of Real Madrid’s famous youth academy, La Fábrica, Martínez developed his skills at one of the most respected football schools in Europe.
Over the years, he has had spells in Spain, England, and Italy, most recently playing for Reggio Calabria in Italy. He also previously played for Catania and Triestina in the Italian leagues.
Martínez expressed his excitement about the move, saying:
“I had several other opportunities abroad, but felt incredibly intrigued to play in Europe with Birkirkara. I’m delighted to join the Stripes and can’t wait to get started.”

Birkirkara FC is confident that Martínez’s international experience and goalkeeping quality will be a valuable addition to the squad ahead of the new season.
