UEFA has announced that French referee Stéphanie Frappart will take charge of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 final between England and Spain. The match will be played on Sunday, 27 July at 18:00 CET at St. Jakob-Park Stadium in Basel, Switzerland.
Frappart, 41, has been an international referee since 2011 and has officiated 111 UEFA matches during her career. At this year’s tournament, she refereed two group stage games and the quarter-final between Norway and Italy, which ended 2-1 to Italy.
Frappart also served as the fourth official at the Women’s EURO 2022 final. Speaking about her appointment, she said:
“I’m very pleased to have been selected to referee the Women’s EURO final. It’s a big honour and a proud moment at the end of a wonderful tournament.”
UEFA’s Director of Refereeing, Roberto Rosetti, praised her performance, saying:
“We are happy with how the referees have performed during the tournament. The female officials have shown great improvement in both fitness and the quality of their decisions. Stéphanie Frappart fully deserves this appointment; she is a role model for young referees, thanks to her professionalism and conduct both on and off the pitch.”
