Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo has started a new chapter in his coaching career. He has officially been named the head coach of United FC, a young club based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Pirlo, the former AC Milan and Juventus midfielder, has signed a two-year deal with the UAE First Division club, which will keep him there until the summer of 2027.
“We’re proud to welcome Andrea to the United FC family,” said club president Ilie Cebanu. “He shares our values and goals, and we believe he will play a key role in helping us grow.”

United FC was founded in September 2022 and quickly climbed the ranks. They finished second in their first season in 2022–23, earning promotion from the UAE Second Division. The team has since maintained its place in the top tier for the 2025–26 season.
This will be Pirlo’s fourth job as a head coach, following previous roles at Juventus, Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey, and Sampdoria.
His first match in charge of United FC is expected to be on 20 September, when they face Al Dhaid in the UAE First Division.
