The British government and the Premier League have approved the purchase of Chelsea football club, and the club has confirmed that the American consortium will complete the last formalities on Monday and sign the purchase agreement.
Under the agreement, the new owners will pay about three billion euros for the club’s shares, and the money will go to a frozen bank account for charitable donations.
The remaining two billion are intended for investment in the club.
