Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was seen at the Stadio Olimpico during Roma’s Serie A match against Juventus last night, but his representatives have said he’s not in talks to take over at Roma.
There had been rumours that Ten Hag might replace Claudio Ranieri as Roma’s coach next season, especially after the 55-year-old was spotted at the match in Rome.
However, websites like Calciomercato.com and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Ten Hag’s team has denied any discussions with the club. They say he was simply in the capital to watch the big game.
La Gazzetta also mentioned that Ten Hag didn’t answer fans who asked if he would be Roma’s next manager.
Ranieri’s contract ends in June, and the 73-year-old has already said he won’t stay on, but he is helping the club find a good replacement.
