Napoli are closing in on their first major signing of the summer, having reached an agreement with PSV Eindhoven for Dutch winger Noa Lang. The deal is expected to cost the Serie A side €25 million plus performance-related bonuses, with the final details now being smoothed out between the clubs.
Lang, 25, is set to sign a five-year contract worth €2.5 million per season. PSV, already preparing for his departure, have lined up AZ Alkmaar’s Van Bommel as his replacement.
The Dutch international is seen as a key addition to Antonio Conte’s new-look Napoli, but he may not be the only wide player brought in. Talks have also taken place with Bologna over the potential double signing of Dan Ndoye and centre-back Sam Beukema.
The initial meeting between Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna and Bologna’s technical chief Giovanni Sartori was described as constructive but inconclusive. Napoli have already received positive signals from both players, but negotiations with Bologna remain complex.
The Rossoblù are demanding a total package of €80 million, €45 million for Swiss winger Ndoye and €35 million for Dutch defender Beukema. Napoli appear more inclined to meet the asking price for Ndoye, while talks over Beukema have proven more difficult, especially with Bologna facing the likely departure of fellow centre-back Jhon Lucumí.
Despite the current impasse, dialogue between the clubs remains open. Further talks are expected later this week, although Napoli are unwilling to allow negotiations to drag on, aware that the transfer window has only just opened and other targets remain available.
