Inter Milan’s summer transfer window is gathering pace as the club looks to reshape its squad before the deadline. With several players likely to leave and one high-profile target still in limbo, the Nerazzurri are navigating a delicate market full of tension and opportunity.
The club is actively working on the departures of Mehdi Taremi, Kristjan Asllani, and Sebastiano Esposito, while still waiting for a breakthrough in their pursuit of Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman.

Mehdi Taremi appears to be edging closer to a Premier League move, with Leeds United emerging as the frontrunners. The 33-year-old Iranian forward endured a disappointing first season at Inter and is open to a new challenge. Leeds are reportedly leading the race to sign him, with Fulham also expressing interest. Taremi’s representatives are currently working to finalise personal terms before presenting a formal offer to Inter, who insist on a permanent sale. Taremi had previously turned down proposals from Brazilian giants Flamengo and Botafogo, making it clear he wants to remain in top-level European football.

Kristjan Asllani is another player whose future remains uncertain. The Albanian midfielder has already rejected offers from Real Betis and Sassuolo, the former reportedly tabling a bid in the region of €15 million. Asllani is said to be holding out for a move to a more competitive Italian side that offers European football, with Bologna and Fiorentina both monitoring the situation. However, neither club has made a concrete bid that matches Inter’s asking price. Like with Taremi, Inter prefer a permanent transfer and are not open to another loan.

Meanwhile, Sebastiano Esposito is at the centre of a tug-of-war between Parma and Cagliari. Parma are believed to be in the lead but have yet to finalise terms with Inter. Both clubs remain in talks and a decision on the young striker’s future is expected in the coming days.
At the same time, Inter’s top attacking target remains Ademola Lookman. The Atalanta forward has been the subject of two bids from the Nerazzurri, both of which were rejected. Inter’s latest offer is believed to be worth €45 million including add-ons, and the club is prepared to go even higher, potentially including a promising youngster in the deal. Lookman himself is pushing hard for the transfer. The Nigerian forward has removed all references to Atalanta from his social media and has refused to attend training, signalling his desire to make the move to San Siro.
Despite the pressure, Atalanta have yet to give Inter a definitive response regarding their valuation or willingness to sell. Inter remain hopeful that one final offer, possibly approaching €50 million, will be enough to break the deadlock.
As the summer window enters its final stretch, Inter Milan are expected to be one of the most active sides on the market, both in terms of exits and arrivals. With Taremi and Asllani expected to depart, and the Lookman saga still unfolding, the coming weeks will be crucial in shaping the Nerazzurri’s 2025–26 season.
