Sevilla has responded to Real’s accusations against referees Diaz de Mera and Gonzalez Fuertes with a public statement.
A new drama shakes La Liga – this time something unusual, Real Madrid attacks referees, and Sevilla defends them.
“The club would like to confirm in writing that it has reported a dirty campaign full of attacks against referees Diaz de Mera and Gonzalez Fuertes for tomorrow’s match against Real Madrid orchestrated by the club’s television, Real Madrid’s official television.” stated Sevilla in the press release.
“We would like to formally report these events to the Spanish Football Federation to see if such behavior violates the competition rules or any regulations. The club also wants to express its strongest condemnation of these orchestrated campaigns aimed at damaging the image of the refereeing body, causing serious harm to Spanish football, and questioning the integrity of the competition,” concluded the Andalusian club, Sevilla.
All this happens ahead of their clash, which is scheduled tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu at 9 p.m.
