Football club Reading has brought a new reinforcement, and Veljko Paunovic’s team has more options when it comes to attacking. They made a collaboration with veteran Andy Carroll.
The former player from Newcastle and Liverpool agreed with Reads for shorter cooperation until the middle of January, but if both sides are satisfied, a longer contract is possible.
Carol has long held the status of the most expensive British reinforcement during his career when he arrived in Liverpool for 35 million pounds during the winter of 2011. However, in the meantime, several players have surpassed that record, and the last in a row is Jack Grillish, who moved to Manchester City from Aston Villa before the start of this season for 100 million pounds.
The British striker arrived in Liverpool, as did Luis Suarez, but after a year spent in the ranks of the Reads, episodes followed in West Ham and Newcastle. Carol came to Reading as a free agent.
Carol will be a great reinforcement in Veljko Paunovic’s attack, in order to help him in the fight for the upper part of the table. Reading is currently 16th in the Championship after 17 games played.
