After the racist shouts that were heard from the stands during the match between Fiorentina and Juventus, the club from Florence got the penalty.
Racist insults were addressed to the Serbian national team member Dusan Vlahovic, who arrived at Juventus from Fiorentina, as well as to Kean and Weston McKennie.
The club from Florence was punished by closing one stand for one match, but conditionally for one year.
“The suspended sentence for a period of one year is a warning that if a similar incident occurs during that period, the suspension will be revoked and the sentence will be added to the one imposed for a new offense.” The Disciplinary Commission announced.
As many as seven thousand fans of the home club boycotted coming to the match as a sign of protest that the match was being played at a time when Tuscany was hit by severe floods that have killed seven people so far.
