The French football giants, Paris Saint-Germain, are set to reduce their payroll this summer. As per a recent report by French sports magazine L’Equip, the salaries of PSG’s first-team players have been leaked and the figures are eye-watering.
Kylian Mbappe tops the list as the highest-paid player in the world, earning a staggering six million euros per month. This is double the salary of his teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar, who are paid 3.375 and 3.675 million euros per month, respectively.
In addition to the trio, three other PSG players are monthly millionaires: Marquinhos (1.2 million euros), Marco Verratti (1.2 million euros), and Ashraf Hakimi (1.083 million euros).
UEFA is closely monitoring PSG’s pay grades for potential violations of financial fair play regulations, and cuts are expected this summer. It’s been speculated that Messi and Ramos might leave the club, while Neymar’s future remains uncertain.
Despite the potential departures, Mbappe is considered an untouchable player by PSG president Nasser El Khelaifi, who would reportedly prefer to give up Messi, Neymar, and other star players over the Frenchman.
