Paris Saint-Germain announced the potential departure of Mauricio Pochettino and the arrival of Zinedine Zidane.
As it has been speculated for days, the Argentine is the main candidate to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the Manchester United bench.
Paris Saint-Germain decided to give an answer on that.
– It is important to clarify the situation, due to the large amount of false information circulating. Mauricio Pochettino has a contract until 2023. We don’t want him to leave. He never asked to leave the team. No club has contacted us about him – said the sports director of the French club, Leonardo.
Of course, Paris Saint-Germain referred to allegations that Zinedine Zidane could take over the club from the French capital.
– We have great respect for Zidane, because of everything he did as a player and as a coach, but we are not in contact with him, nor was there any meeting. It is also funny to imagine that they would hold a meeting with Zidane in a big hotel in Paris, in front of everyone – Leonardo added.
