POTTER SATISFIED WITH THE GAME AND NOT WITH THE RESULT: The counter-attack goal broke us

Chelsea manager Graham Potter, after the defeat against Borussia (1:0), was satisfied with his team’s performance but also disappointed with the result.

“We played excellently, especially the second half. We created many chances and deserved to shake their net at least once. We are disappointed with the goal we conceded. It was from a counter-attack in moments when we were closer to scoring a goal. It broke us. It’s disappointing, but we have to keep going like this. Everything was great, we just have to score a goal”, said Graham Potter.

Despite the defeat, the Chelsea players were accompanied by the applause of their fans.

“You saw the audience’s reaction, they were really positive. They see the performance and attitude of the team, we are a developing team and there were really a lot of good things tonight. Of course, you always need a little luck, but you can’t wait for luck, you have to keep working. The boys have been fantastic but we are still suffering at the moment. We will continue to work and we will keep getting better,” concluded Potter.

The rematch is scheduled for March 7 at Stamford Bridge.
