PIOLI: We were better, even though we didn't score a goal!

Stefano Pioli, coach of Milan football players, despite tonight’s defeat, still believes that his team can reach the final of the Champions League.

Inter beat Milan with a score of 2:0.

“Inter scored, we didn’t. Unrecognizable? That is perhaps too strong a term to describe us. The fact is that Inter played better in that first half and scored two goals, Milan was better in the second, but we didn’t score a goal. Such is football at this level. “Inter had more quality and were more efficient, we made too many mistakes,” said Pioli.

“Until the seventh minute, Inter did not approach our penalty area and then they scored a goal after the first corner. We had to be more concentrated. We wanted a different result, but we still have to believe, because one situation can change everything in the second leg,” Pioli explained.
