The entire football world sent a message of support to Brazilian legend Pele when word got out that he was fighting for his life.
Today, the phenomenal news came from the Albert Einstein Hospital in Rio de Janeiro, that he is feeling better thanks to the successful treatment of a respiratory infection aggravated by the corona virus.
Pele has been in the hospital since November 29, and the doctors said they do not yet know when he will be discharged.
Pele is “conscious and has stable vital signs”, according to the hospital’s statement.
He is also fighting cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.
In his playing career, Pele won the title of World Champion three times.
