AC Milan offered Maignan 5 million euros, but he wants more

Mike Maignan is widely regarded this season as one of the world’s best goalkeepers, prompting AC Milan to consider a salary increase for him.

However, the Frenchman is not satisfied with the proposed five million euros per year and is seeking eight million instead. At Milan, Maignan holds the status of one of the top three stars in the team, alongside Theo Hernández and Rafael Leão, prompting the “Rossoneri” to be prepared to include appropriate bonuses along with the five million salary.

The highest salary at Milan is currently held by Leão, amounting to five million euros. Milan continues negotiations with the 28-year-old goalkeeper, for whom they have set a €100 million release clause in the event of his departure, with Chelsea and Bayern Munich among the interested parties.

In this Serie A season, Maignan has appeared in 21 matches, keeping a clean sheet in 10 of the league’s toughest games.
