Argentinian goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez attracted the attention of numerous clubs after he excelled at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
Manuel Neuer recently suffered a skiing injury that will cause him to miss the rest of the season, so the club in Munich started looking for a new goalkeeper.
According to “Sky Sports,” the goalkeeper of Aston Villa and an Argentinian representative is the first choice to replace Neuer.
Martinez won the title at the World Cup in Qatar with the Argentina team and was one of the most deserving of the Gauchos’ triumph at the World Cup. He was also named World Cup goalkeeper of the year.
He grew up in Independence, and in 2010, he arrived at Arsenal. The Argentine then played on loan at Oxford, Sheffield, Rotherham, Wolverhampton, Getafe, and Reading, and has been a member of Aston Villa since 2020.
