On Saturday, December 28, at 2:00 PM, a special football match will take place at the Gozo Stadium, featuring Malta’s champions, Ħamrun Spartans, and Gozo’s champions, Nadur Youngsters.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Gozo Stadium, where the Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri, praised the initiative, highlighting its potential to attract football enthusiasts to Gozo and promote the sport on the island.
Dr. Samuel Azzopardi, President of the Gozo Football Association, also spoke at the event, expressing gratitude to both Nadur and Ħamrun for their participation. He emphasized that such events play a crucial role in further developing football in Gozo and fostering collaboration between clubs from Malta and Gozo.
Dr. Chris Said, President of Nadur Youngsters, and Marcel Bonnici, CEO of Ħamrun Spartans, also addressed the media. Both encouraged the sporting public to attend the match and show their support for this unique event at the Gozo Stadium.
