Birzebbuga St. Peter’s delivered an impressive 3-0 win over Vittoriosa Stars in the prime Amateur League 1 Top 6 clash at Sirens Stadium. Christopher Mario Baker opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, and Samuel Saldanha doubled the Saints’ lead just before halftime. Yusuf Abdullahi Sulaiman sealed the victory with a goal in the 89th minute.
Meanwhile, league leaders San Gwann suffered a 2-0 defeat to Xghajra Tornados at the same venue. Richmond Baratuipre Hanson struck in the 79th minute before Raylon Kaylon Paisley added another in stoppage time.

San Gwann remain at the top with 39 points, but Birzebbuga St. Peter’s and Vittoriosa are close behind on 37. Xghajra sit in fourth with 34, followed by Luqa (33) and Attard (29).
Play-Out Round: Qormi Extend Lead, Zejtun Continue Positive Run
In the Play-Out round, Qormi strengthened their position at the top with a 3-1 victory over Msida St. Joseph at Charles Abela Stadium. Leon Borg scored early in the 6th minute before Cadu and David King Joachim both converted penalties in quick succession. Msida’s Moustafa Robert Malool pulled one back just before halftime.
Qrendi also earned a 3-1 win over Marsaskala at Luxol Stadium. Brandon Bray opened the scoring in the 8th minute, and Ayesller Carvalho added a second early in the second half. Although Joshua Ojhelabi briefly revived Marsaskala’s hopes, Carvalho secured the victory in the 87th minute.
Zejtun Corinthians continued their strong form, defeating Pembroke Athleta 3-0 at Charles Abela Stadium. Gillmore Azzopardi gave Zejtun an early lead in the 5th minute, while Stefi Cale netted twice in the 17th and 88th minutes.
At Luxol Stadium, Mellieha edged Kirkop United 2-1. Marc Bolane Adonis put Mellieha ahead with a penalty in the 6th minute, but Quelin Micallef equalized on 26 minutes. However, Alexander Akl restored Mellieha’s lead shortly after halftime.
Gharghur also secured a 3-0 victory over Rabat Ajax at Sirens Stadium, benefiting from an own goal and a late brace by Nobukatsu Tsuchiya in the 68th and 92nd minutes.
