The Inter Amateur Soccer Competition (IASC) won the second edition of the tournament in aid of Step Up For Parkinson’s, organized by the Member Associations within the Malta Football Association, with a convincing 3-0 victory in the final against Team ‘A’ of the Malta Amateur Football Association (MAFA).
The eight participating teams were divided into two groups, with the top two teams advancing to the semi-finals. In Group A, the Industries Sports Association (ISA) and Team ‘A’ of MAFA overcame the challenge from the Masters Football Malta and the GIDA League to qualify for the semi-finals. From Group B, it was the Veterans Malta Football Association and the IASC who eliminated Team ‘B’ of MAFA and the SWAN Amateur League to secure their spots among the final four.

In the semi-finals, IASC recorded a resounding 6-0 victory against ISA, earning a place in the final for the second consecutive year. Meanwhile, the journey of the first edition’s champions, the Veterans, was halted by MAFA’s Team ‘A’, who won the match 3-1 in a hard-fought encounter. In the final, IASC showcased superior tactics and deservedly won the tournament with three spectacular goals, while Team ‘A’ of MAFA offered a commendable challenge.
At the end of the tournament, MFA Vice President Adrian Casha presented trophies to both finalist teams. In his address, he praised the players, coaches, and administrators from the participating Associations for their noble act of solidarity with the more than two thousand people in Malta living with this neurological condition. The initiative aims to provide people with Parkinson’s disease the opportunity to lead better lives.

All matches were played at the Centenary Stadium, kindly provided by the Malta Football Association, with referees Alexander Arena, Stefan Pace, and Mark Spiteri officiating. The main trophy, engraved each year with the name of the winning team, was sponsored by Sports Experience Trophies & Awards.
In addition to the Member Associations that participated with their teams and contributed funds gathered through their respective organizations and players, the Malta Football Coaches Association (MFCA), the Malta Employees Sports Association (MESA), and the Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) also formed part of the tournament’s organizing committee, donating to Step Up For Parkinson’s.
The total amount collected was €3,500.
