Valletta FC sealed their return to the Premier League in emphatic fashion, defeating Marsa 3-0 and lifting the BOV Challenge League trophy in front of a packed National Stadium filled with jubilant Valletta supporters.
The Citizens wasted little time asserting their dominance, taking the lead in the 17th minute through Enoch Biringanine Mushagalusa, who coolly slotted home to ignite celebrations in the stands.
Building on that early momentum, Andrea Zammit doubled Valletta’s advantage just before half-time with a well-taken strike in the 38th minute, sending the sea of white-clad fans into raptures.
After the break, Valletta continued to control proceedings and put the game to bed in the 66th minute as Paul Lapira added a third, capping off a commanding performance.
At the final whistle, Valletta players lifted the Challenge League trophy, sparking scenes of joy and pride as the club marked their return to the top flight in style. With promotion secured and a title to celebrate, Valletta will now look ahead to a new chapter back among Malta’s elite.
