At the Centenary Stadium Valletta registered a 3-0 win over Sirens as the BOV Challenge League kicked-off on Saturday. An early goal after just 9 minutes puts Valletta in front a cross from Mushagalusa was met by Andrei Ciolacu who headed home from close range.
Valletta doubled the score on 67th minute when substitute Jake Azzopardi sent a cross which was met by James Scicluna who was complete unmarked by the Sirens defenders and his lot shot ended in the bottom corner.
Eight minutes from time substitute Jefferson Ferreira shot a close range effort which ended in the bottom corner from close range to seal the deal 3-0.
Meanwhile Pieta H. managed to beat Lija A. 2-1. Swieqi also started on winning ways as they beat Zurrieq 2-1, while St.Andrews beat Fgura 1-0.
