Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp led the team in the match of the 21st round of the Premier League against Chelsea for the 1000th time since the beginning of his coaching career.
“That’s crazy. I never think about those things and honestly, I never thought I would be working this long. You have to work for 22 years to get to this point. But I can say that I was really lucky. Three great clubs gave me the chance to do this job. I was doing the job I love, in the clubs I love. I still enjoy it. “Perhaps it should be recognized for 1,000 good matches, but I’m not sure that anyone could live that long,” Klopp said.
Despite the bad results this season, Jurgen Klopp believes that his team is on the right track.
“I believe in training, in team development, I believe in togetherness, but at the same time you have good coaches everywhere, it’s incomprehensible how many good coaches there are in the world. They all believe in these things. We are in a good position. I know it sounds strange to you because we are not playing our best football this season, but generally speaking, we are in good hands.
We are not crazy and we know very well what our responsibilities are and that we have to do everything to get back to the first time, we don’t worry too much. It does not mean that you should build a new team every year if the moment comes that you have to do it once. You have to let the players take the next step. And we have several of them here that are ready. And then many things will be possible again”, said the German.
