Zlatan Ibrahimović's biggest mistake

Zlatan Ibrahimović said goodbye to active football and his career is slowly coming to an end.

There is no doubt that he will be remembered as one of the best strikers of this century. He played at the top level for years and changed several big clubs. Starting with Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, PSG, LA Galaxy, Manchester United…

With each of the European clubs, he managed to win some important trophy, but the most valuable one, intended for the winner of the Champions League, eluded him.

The popular Ibra has reached the semi-finals in the elite competition, this season with Milan and in 2010 with Barcelona.

And it was the transfer to the Spanish giant that could be characterized as the biggest mistake in his career, or to be more precise, the worst decision.

In the summer of 2009, Ibrahimović decided to leave Inter Milan and move to Camp Nou. In addition to the fact that the Swedish goalscorer failed to fit into Pep Guardiola’s team, his former team reached the Champions League trophy.

It is interesting that Ibrahimović commented on his departure from the Inter team in his own style.

“Thank you, goodbye, it was nice to play with you, but you won’t win anything more without me”, Massimo Moratti once conveyed the words of the great striker when he was leaving “Giuseppe Meazza“.

It turned out that his prediction was not correct, considering that immediately after his departure, Jose Mourinho’s team reached the “triplet”, and that Ibrahimovic did not manage to win the “early” cup until the end of his career.
