GUARDIOLA IS AFRAID OF REAL'S SQUAD: We have to play the best game

The players of Manchester City will play the rematch of the semi-finals of the Champions League against Real Madrid tomorrow, and coach Pep Guardiola does not hide his excitement about this duel.

Manchester City has a chance to win three titles this season and confirm their good form with trophies.

After almost certainly winning the title in the Premier League and securing the final of the FA Cup, City will try to reach another final tomorrow.

The first match in Madrid ended with a draw of 1:1, so it will be played in Manchester for the grand final, which will be held this year at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

The Citizens have not known of a defeat at the Etihad in the Champions League since the match against Liverpool in 2018. They will try to continue their undefeated streak tomorrow.

“We know how important the match with Real is for this competition, but also for them. We have to play like we do all the time and stay us, I’m grateful to the team for what we did. We are very excited, in order to beat Real we have to have a game plan and be ready to change the match and create chances.

Real has many qualities. We are used to this competition in recent years. We haven’t lost a Champions League match at home in five years, let’s hope that continues. As for the triple crown, it’s up to us,” said City manager Pep Guardiola.

Real Madrid will be fighting for a 15th Champions League title and Pep Guardiola admits he is scared of Real Madrid’s squad.

“If I knew why they are so good in the Champions League, I would know to beat them. They have great players and they base their success on that. Milan won with Sacchi and Capello and those coaches had top players.

What scares me about Real is that they always have an incredible squad. However, we have to minimize Real’s threats. We can’t think about the past. We have to play the best game,” said Guardiola.

The match at the “Etihad” stadium is scheduled for 9 p.m. tonight.

The winner will play in the final against Inter, who eliminated Milan in the semi-finals with a total score of 3:0.
