At the congress in Doha, the FIFA World Football Federation decided not to exclude Russia from all football competitions.
Somewhat surprisingly, FIFA decided that the Football Association of Russia would remain part of the federation at a time when everyone was expecting a decision on suspension. . However, the suspension was earned by three football federations. Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Kenya are indefinitely excluded.
Kenya has been suspended due to the takeover of the Alliance by the government. This is a serious violation of the statute of the World Football Federation.
– The suspension will be lifted as soon as the situation is in accordance with our regulations – said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

– Excluding the Football Association of Russia from FIFA is not an option. If we do not want to work on connecting people in our conversations and agreements, then it is best not to do anything. I can only invite leaders to dialogue and calm the conflict. Excluding the Russian national team and clubs was not an easy decision.
Let us remind you, at the end of February, FIFA and UEFA made a decision to suspend all Russian clubs and the Russian national team from all competitions until further notice due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russian clubs were also expelled from the basketball Euroleague, and Russia was left without Formula 1, ski races, and hosting the Champions League final.
