Fernandes about Ten Hag: He has its own rules that we have to respect

Portuguese footballer Bruno Fernandes, who plays for Manchester United, reflected on the strict way of working of coach Erik ten Hag.

Let’s remember that the Dutch coach ten Haag took over the English club this summer, and during the preparations he achieved three victories against Liverpool, Melbourne Victoria and Crystal Palace.

“He wants his rules to be respected, he demands a lot from us and he wants us all to do the same things together. We all know we have to be on the same page, and if we’re not, we won’t be on the team. That’s a good thing because, if you want to succeed, we have to be united as a team. He brings discipline, but also gives the footballers the freedom to make their own choices,” said Fernandes.

The Portuguese pointed out that his teammates are aware that they have to respect the coach’s rules.

“He has his own rules that we have to respect, but he also wants older players to take some of the responsibility. He is strict, firm, but at the same time easy to chat with. The main thing is to follow what he wants, he has the right line he wants the team to follow and I want us to follow that line because I think that’s how we can be successful. If we all understand that we have to respect the rules, what the coach demands and what the team demands, that’s why this team will be successful”, added Fernandes.

“I think that at the end of the season, everyone will be happy if we do everything he wants us to do,” said the Portuguese representative at the end.
