Football club Barcelona announced that they sold a total of 25 percent of the TV rights to the investment company “Sixth street”.
This company will have the rights to broadcast matches of the Catalan club for the next 25 years.
By signing this contract, the Catalan club will receive 519 million euros in return.
“We continue to improve our strategy and we are delighted to have completed this agreement with ‘Sixth street’ which significantly strengthens us financially,” said Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
This undertaking is to help the Catalan club to meet the financial sum and service the existing costs such as the transfer of Robert Lewandovski and Rafinha, which cost this club 110 million euros.
