Europa League quarter finals roundup

Atalanta 0 Liverpool 1 (Atalanta go through 3-1 on aggregate)

West Ham United 1 Bayer Leverkusen 1 (Bayer Leverkusen go through 3-1 on aggregate)

Roma 2 Milan 1 (Roma go through 3-1 on aggregate)

Marseille 1 Benfica 0 (Marseille go through 4-2 on penalties. Aggregate 2-2)

Liverpool were eliminated from the Europa League in muted fashion after suffering a 1-3 aggregate defeat against Atalanta. Although the Reds managed to win the tie in Bergamo through a Mo Salah penalty, the deficit of three goals suffered at Anfield was not enough.

West Ham were the other English club who were eliminated on the night when newly crowned German champions Bayer Leverkusen managed a draw at the London Stadium after having won the first leg 2-0 in Leverkusen.

In the all-Italian clash, Roma easily defeated Milan by two goals to one after having won 1-0 in the first leg in Milan. In the other match, Marseille prevailed against Benfica after extra time having won the match 1-0 through a Frank Moumbagna goal. The shootout ended 4-2 in favour of Marseille.
