The football players of Dynamo Kyiv advanced to the third round of Champions League qualification, as they eliminated Fenerbahçe tonight in Istanbul after extra time.
After 0:0 in the first game played in Lodz, Poland, the regular 90 minutes of the game in Istanbul ended in a 1:1 draw, so everything was decided in additional 30 minutes.
In the 53rd minute, Fenerbahce was left with one less player on the field as Ismael Yuksek earned a second yellow card, and just three minutes later, Dynamo took the lead with a goal by Vitaliy Buyalskyi.
Attila Salaj equalized at 1:1 in the 89th minute, and Oleksandr Karavaev brought victory to Dynamo in the 114th minute.
In the third round of qualification, the Ukrainian side will play against the Austrian Sturm, while Fenerbahce will play in the third round of qualification for the Europa League against the Czech team FC Slovacko.
