Tottenham left-back Destiny Udogie, on loan at Udinese, hopes he can make a return to Tottenham after his impressive performances in the current Serie A season.
Udogie grew up in the Verona team, for which he made his debut on November 8, 2020, in a draw against Milan. However, the club sent him on loan to Friuli, where he played great games last season for Udinese.
His games were noticed by the Spurs, who decided to buy him and he signed a contract with Tottenham that is valid until 2027. Conte decided that it is best to stay in Udine this season as well, in order to, as the team’s first team player, gather as many minutes and experience as possible for an eventual return to the Spurs and games in the demanding Premier League.
“I haven’t spoken to Conte yet, but I’m not worried about that. I want to upgrade as a player in Serie A, and then we’ll see what happens. I want to play in the Premier League for Tottenham, I speak English fluently and I think I would be of great help to Conte’s team,’ said Udogie.
In the current season, he scored the 2nd goal in seven matches in Serie A.
