Italian expert Fabio Cannavaro has taken over the Benevento team, and it will be his first coaching job in his homeland.
Previously, he worked in the Middle East and in China, and on the bench of the Italian Serie B, he will replace Fabio Caserta, who was fired due to poor results.
Benevento recorded two wins and one draw in the current part of the championship, and with seven points won, occupies the 13th position in the table.
In 2006, Cannavaro reached the world championship title with the Italian team as captain, and in the same year, he also won the Golden Ball.
In his coaching career so far, Fabio led Al Ahly from the United Arab Emirates and Guangzhou and Tianjin from the bench.
